Connor Campbell, Financial Analyst at Spreadex joins Matt Brown for his weekly update on UK Plc. Looking at GBPUSD and the FTSE as we get an update on the UK economy just before Christmas.

GBPUSD – a lot of sellers around $1.34

– Once the tax bill goes through, does the dollar the boost that eluded the greenback on Monday?
– Final US Q3 GDP reading expected to come in unchanged at 3.3% on Thursday, core durable goods orders to fall from 0.9% to 0.5% on Friday
– Final UK Q3 GDP reading expected to come in unchanged at 0.4% on Friday

FTSE – actually finding support around 7500

– Though it trailed its Eurozone and US peers still managed some impressive growth on Monday despite the pound’s own robust growth against the dollar – does it keep following Dow higher?
– Final UK Q3 GDP reading expected to come in unchanged at 0.4% on Friday
